That is why Lviv is strengthening its energy resilience: the city has received three modern energy storage systems. These systems will enable electricity to be stored and used as a backup power source in the event of disruptions or emergency outages. For facilities whose operations must remain uninterrupted, this means greater energy autonomy and enhanced resilience to power supply disruptions.
Once installed, the equipment will help maintain the operation of critical systems and ensure the continuity of essential services, even during periods of increased pressure on the energy grid.

The measures are being implemented as part of the Winter Support Package, provided by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung) within the framework of transitional assistance and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
