As part of the “Localist” project, the GoLOCAL team visited the Kiptivska, Nosivska, and Kulykivska communities in the Chernihiv region to personally meet the participants and formalize partnerships through the signing of Memorandums of Cooperation
This initiative is aimed at fostering a community of leaders capable of attracting international funding and implementing the principles of sustainable and inclusive development.
During the meetings, the communities shared both their successfully implemented projects and their ambitious plans – of which there are many. Participants also highlighted their knowledge needs, which will be carefully considered and incorporated into the training programme
From May to September 2026, we will deliver six training modules, covering in detail:
Project management and recovery planning for communities;
Economic development and identification of new opportunities;
The role of culture, identity, and innovation in reconstruction;
Democratic governance, inclusivity, and human rights in development projects;
Effective communication and cooperation with national institutions;
Intercultural exchange and global approaches to recovery.
We are proud of the communities in the Chernihiv region that, despite all challenges, are choosing the path of professional growth and active recovery. Together, we are turning plans into concrete actions that truly serve people.
The programme is organized within the framework of the “Impulse” Project, implemented by the International Renaissance Foundation and the East Europe Foundation with the financial support of Norway (Norad) and Sweden (Sida).
