To strengthen this capacity, the Kuyalnyk community has received four photovoltaic systems with battery energy storage, providing a total installed capacity of 153.76 kW for its water supply facilities.
The modern equipment – including solar panels, inverters, and battery storage systems – will ensure the autonomous operation of critical infrastructure, protecting residents from water supply disruptions during power outages.

The initiative is being implemented as part of the Winter Assistance Package, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) under Germany’s Transitional Development Assistance and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
