As part of its cooperation with GIZ, the GoLOCAL team coordinated the delivery of a specialized Volkswagen Transporter (T5) vehicle to the Sosnytsia community in the Chernihiv region.
For local communities, access to reliable mobile equipment is essential to ensuring the uninterrupted operation of municipal services, enabling rapid emergency response, and maintaining critical infrastructure.
The vehicle will be used for emergency repair and recovery works, responding to the aftermath of shelling, carrying out public space maintenance, and servicing street lighting systems. Initiatives like this strengthen communities’ institutional capacity, support the continuous delivery of essential public services, and enhance their ability to respond effectively to today’s challenges.
